Job summary

Citi Dublin is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and deploy applications within a Payments team spanning geographies. You will collaborate with global colleagues to implement new and revised systems, deliver architecture-aligned solutions, and drive production readiness.

The role requires 5+ years of apps development experience with Java/Spring Boot, MQ, Kafka, Oracle, and SQL. A hybrid work model and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in apps development.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and software programming.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure integration of functions and define necessary system enhancements.
• Resolve high impact problems through evaluation of business and system processes and industry standards.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure design aligns with architecture blueprint.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how business areas integrate to achieve goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Serve as adviser or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
• Assess risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citi’s reputation and assets, and escalate/report control issues.
