Job summary

SimoTech is seeking multiple Senior Automation Engineers (IT/OT) to drive the ramp-up of a major pharma OS& D expansion. You will own key automation domains, from design through commissioning, working with IT, OT, validation, and quality teams to ensure safe, compliant delivery aligned with project goals.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will lead end-to-end delivery, manage risks, coordinate vendors, and mentor junior engineers to uphold high standards and scalable automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Control Systems, CS, IT or Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant IT/OT automation project delivery experience.
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end IT/OT projects in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Expertise in PLC/SCADA systems (Siemens or Schneider) and ThinManager, Ignition, or Aveva PI.
• Strong project delivery governance, risk controls, and pharma-like lifecycle awareness.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, leadership, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of GMP, GAMP, and computer system lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of major IT/OT work packages from project initiation through handover.
• Lead technical and delivery alignment across stakeholders including engineering, IT, cybersecurity, QA, vendors, and integrators.
• Define and review technical requirements and oversee OT system design and integration.
• Embed GMP, cybersecurity, and change-control processes throughout delivery.
• Manage vendor performance including statements of work and milestone acceptance.
• Direct testing and commissioning activities (FAT/SAT/UAT) and documentation review.
• Prepare governance reports and support steering committees and risk reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers to ensure delivery standards and knowledge transfer.
