Job summary

The Rehab Group is seeking an Internal Control Specialist to strengthen its internal control framework across the organisation and subsidiaries. This permanent role, based in Dublin with hybrid working arrangements, requires extensive audit/controls experience and knowledge of regulatory standards.

You will design, perform and report on control assessments, advising on improvements while aligning with governance policies and the Internal Audit Charter. Competitive salary is offered with benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified Internal Auditor and/or CCAB accountant is desirable or in progress.
• Degree-level education in a field relevant to internal control/audit.
• Minimum five years' experience in internal/external audit, internal control, compliance or oversight.
• Understanding or experience of the charity sector and regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a comprehensive internal control assessment programme for the Rehab Group and subsidiaries.
• Coordinate scope of annual internal control assessments with owners and internal audit teams.
• Evaluate design and documentation of internal controls and related procedures.
• Identify gaps, prepare concise reports and reinforce understanding of internal controls across units.
