Senior Infrastructure Technical Delivery Manager – Vulnerability Remediation Programme

Role Profile for External Recruitment

Role Purpose

We are seeking a senior Infrastructure Technical Delivery Manager to lead a complex vulnerability remediation programme across a broad enterprise technology estate. The role requires a strong delivery leader with broad technical understanding, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive risk reduction activities to completion across multiple technology domains.

The successful candidate does not need to be a deep security architect; however, they must understand vulnerability management concepts and be able to engage credibly with Security, Infrastructure, Application, Risk, Governance and senior leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of vulnerability remediation activities across multiple infrastructure, application and security domains.
• Translate complex technical vulnerabilities into clear actions, delivery plans, ownership models, decisions and business outcomes.
• Establish and maintain strong governance across risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, decisions, milestones and remediation progress.
• Drive accountability across technical teams, ensuring commitments are visible, tracked and progressed within agreed timeframes.
• Identify blockers, dependency chains and critical path risks, escalating effectively where progress is stalled.
• Develop clear reporting, dashboards and metrics to support evidence-based decision making.
• Work with Security, Risk and Governance teams to ensure remediation activity is aligned to risk exposure, audit readiness and regulatory expectations.
• Support exception management, compensating control discussions and prioritisation of genuinely high-risk vulnerabilities.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and provide clear, concise updates on progress, risks, decisions required and delivery confidence.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a senior Technical Delivery Manager, Infrastructure Delivery Manager, Programme Delivery Lead or similar role within a complex enterprise environment.
• Demonstrable track record delivering large-scale technical programmes such as infrastructure migrations, server upgrades, cloud transformation, audit remediation, regulatory remediation or risk reduction initiatives.
• Experience working across multiple technology towers and managing dependencies between infrastructure, applications, security, architecture and business teams.
• Strong understanding of delivery governance, including RAID management, milestone tracking, critical path analysis, escalation management and stakeholder reporting.
• Experience operating in regulated, risk-conscious or audit-driven environments would be highly beneficial.
• Working knowledge of vulnerability management, patching, remediation planning or security risk reduction would be advantageous, but deep security architecture expertise is not essential.

Technical Breadth

The candidate should have sufficient technical fluency to understand and challenge delivery issues across the enterprise technology stack. They are not expected to be the subject matter expert in every area, but should be comfortable engaging with specialists across:
