Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join our Dublin team. The role covers networking, cyber security, Microsoft infrastructure, VMware, Azure, and cloud services, ensuring highly available, secure infrastructure and rapid issue resolution.

You will design and implement enterprise network services, manage Cisco LAN/WAN/WLAN, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud platforms, while developing automation and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• CCNP or equivalent with 5+ years' relevant experience.
• Strong enterprise networking knowledge across TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, 802.1Q, EtherChannel/Port-Channel and WLAN.
• Experience with Meraki SD-WAN and firewall/security (Palo Alto/Check Point).
• Experience with Windows Server/Active Directory administration and VMware.
• Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365/Intune; PKI and encryption knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support and troubleshoot enterprise network and infrastructure services.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and support a complex enterprise technology environment.

The role covers networking, cyber security, Microsoft infrastructure, VMware, Azure, telecommunications and cloud services. You will be responsible for maintaining highly available and secure infrastructure, resolving complex technical issues and supporting ongoing technology improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support and troubleshoot enterprise network and infrastructure services.
• Manage Cisco LAN/WAN/WLAN, VLANs, routing, switching and Meraki SD-WAN.
• Manage Palo Alto / Check Point firewalls, VPNs, IPS, segmentation and Cisco Duo.
• Support Internet and telecoms services including fibre, FTTH/FTTP, VDSL and 4G/5G.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PKI and IIS/HTTPS.
• Manage VMware vCenter/ESXi/VCF and HPE server/storage environments.
• Support Azure IaaS/PaaS, Entra ID, Intune and Autopilot.
• Manage monitoring and logging platforms including SolarWinds, SNMP and Splunk/SIEM.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, clustering and RTO/RPO requirements.
• Provide support for VoIP, SIP, IP PBX and UCaaS/CCaaS/CPaaS environments.
• Develop PowerShell automation and maintain accurate infrastructure documentation.
• Manage third-party suppliers, managed service providers and SLA performance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and network issues.

Essential Skills & Experience

• CCNP or equivalent with 5+ years' relevant experience.
• Strong enterprise networking knowledge across TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, 802.1Q, EtherChannel/Port-Channel and WLAN.
• Experience with Meraki SD-WAN.
• Strong firewall and network security experience, ideally Palo Alto and/or Check Point.
• Excellent Windows Server and Active Directory administration skills.
• Experience with VMware, HPE infrastructure, Azure and Microsoft 365/Intune.
• Understanding of PKI, certificates, encryption and endpoint security.
• Experience with monitoring, SIEM, backup/recovery and disaster recovery.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and supplier-management skills.

Desirable: Experience with Citrix NetScaler, SolarWinds, Splunk, Cisco Duo, Azure/VMware/Microsoft certifications and ITIL/service management.
