Job summary

St Brigid’s Credit Union Ltd. is seeking an ICT Officer to lead the development and execution of the ICT strategy, ensuring cyber resilience and regulatory compliance across core banking systems, Microsoft 365, Azure, and security controls.

The role reports to the CEO and supports risk, compliance, and assurance functions. The successful candidate will manage incident response, business continuity, and external supplier relationships while overseeing budgeting and reporting on ICT performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years ICT experience with at least 3 years IT management experience in a regulated or financial services environment.
• Technical and regulatory knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure, identity and access, endpoint and network security, backup and recovery, vulnerability management, supplier oversight and data security.
• Experience with cybersecurity SIEM/SOC and cyber response solutions would be a distinct advantage.
• ITIL v4 Foundation or higher, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, PRINCE2/PMP for project management are desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, together with strong analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements for Credit Unions in the area of ICT including DORA

Responsibilities

• Develop an ICT strategy and annual work plan aligned with the organisation's risk appetite and budget.
• Oversee ICT components including core banking, Microsoft 365, Azure, networks, and security systems.
• Manage joiner/mover/leaver controls and multi-factor authentication.
• Coordinate with outsourced partners for security monitoring, patching, and cyber-awareness.
• Own ICT incident management, disaster recovery, and post-implementation reviews.
• Assist with ICT budgeting, procurement, and licensing oversight.
• Maintain KPI's/KRI's for ICT performance and risk reporting.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, DPO, Internal Audit, and board to close assurance findings.
• Support readiness for DORA implementation for Credit Unions.
