Job summary

HERO Recruitment Ltd. seeks a Senior HVAC Engineer to join a regulated fabrication environment. You will operate and monitor HVAC systems, maintain cleanroom facilities, and drive energy efficiency initiatives while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will analyze real-time data, lead improvement projects, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to uphold performance and uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in HVAC operations within fabrication, cleanroom, or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and related mechanical/electrical components.
• Experience with data analysis tools and HVAC performance monitoring.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of safety standards, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills across teams.
• Flexibility to support project work and urgent HVAC issues outside standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor HVAC systems to ensure performance within defined fabrication parameters.
• Develop and implement HVAC maintenance programmes for cleanroom and ancillary facilities.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to maximise uptime.
• Use process control systems to maintain environmental conditions and compliance standards.
• Analyse system data in real time to identify anomalies and take corrective action.
• Identify and implement strategies to improve reliability and reduce energy consumption.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on HVAC performance and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to support operational goals.
• Liaise with external vendors for equipment procurement, repairs, and service delivery.
• Conduct statistical analysis of HVAC data to ensure specification compliance.
• Produce clear reports on system performance, compliance status, and improvements.
• Ensure all HVAC operations comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Support safety audits and train maintenance staff on HVAC best practices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and system documentation.
