Enable Ireland in Dublin South East (CHO6) seeks a Senior Speech and Language Therapist/Practice Tutor to deliver a broad range of SLT services for children and their families across clinics, preschools, schools, homes and community settings.

The post offers part-time and full-time options in a permanent contract, with a salary of 62,072–€73,477 pro rata per annum and 33 days annual leave pro rata. Commitment to CPD and inclusive practice is highlighted.

• Registration with CORU Speech & Language Therapists Register is required.
• 3 years’ post-qualification clinical experience is essential.
• Experience supervising speech and language therapy students is desirable.

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Senior Speech and Language Therapist/Practice Tutor to join our team in Dublin South East (CHO6). We have part time and full time opportunities within our team in Dublin.

Contract Type: Permanent Post

Contract Hours: Part time post with full time considered.

Salary Scale: 62,072 – €73,477 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.

Overview of the Post:

Enable Ireland Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) provide support for children with complex disabilities. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Speech and Language Therapy services for young people (0 – 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings

The successful candidate will have:

• Hold professional registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.

AND

• Have 3 years’ full time (or an aggregate of 3 years’ full time) post qualification clinical experience.

AND

• Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

AND

• Provide proof of statutory registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.

AND

• Experience supervising speech and language therapy students.

AND

• Eligible to work in the State.

Annual registration

• On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.

AND

• Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
• Demonstrate a developed professional reasoning and behaviour with a clear understanding of the role of the Speech & Language Therapist working within the disability sector.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the models of interdisciplinary team working.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the social model of disability and a person centred approach in the delivery of services to people with disabilities.
• Understanding and knowledge of Enable Ireland services.
• Understanding and knowledge of clinical support and supervision.
• Evidence and commitment to continuous professional development.
