TensorX in Dublin is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our growing team. You will build, patch and monitor our on-premise server estate, keep BIOS, iDRAC and firmware up to date, and coordinate with data centre partners.

You will work with Linux, Dell PowerEdge hardware and in-house AI tooling daily. Reporting to the CTO, you’ll own servers end-to-end, perform maintenance windows, manage observability, and handle storage and network changes.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional experience as a server, systems or infrastructure engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge servers: iDRAC, Lifecycle Controller, BIOS setup, firmware updates and hardware diagnostics.
• Linux administration on Ubuntu or Debian: OS installs, package updates, systemd, logs and basic shell scripting.
• Experience running maintenance windows on production servers and safe reboot practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK or similar).
• Ability to perform network changes at switch CLI: VLANs, trunks, LACP and port speeds.
• Experience with storage changes: SAN, iSCSI, RAID and multipath.
• Racking and cabling to professional standard, including fibre and optics.
• Ability to troubleshoot methodically and write down findings for repeatability.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex).
• Clear and concise communication with engineers and vendor staff.

Responsabilidades

• Server build, configuration and handover to the team in a known-good state.
• Patch management for BIOS, iDRAC and firmware on baseline hardware.
• Observability: set up monitoring, logging and alerting for servers, storage and network.
• Triage hardware and OS errors, document root cause to prevent recurrence.
• Configure iDRAC for remote diagnostics and management.
• Diagnose and replace failed hardware components and open Dell support cases.
• Make day-to-day network and firewall changes on Dell switches as needed.
• Manage storage changes: SAN, iSCSI, RAID and multipath.
• Rack and cable new servers to standard with proper labeling.
• Maintain accurate asset registers, rack diagrams and runbooks.
