Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager, Category Management in Ireland to lead GQO Indirect category strategies across a global network. You will develop best-practices, policies and drive sustainable margin improvements by leveraging supplier capabilities and market intelligence.

The role requires 8–10 years in medical devices or regulated environments, strong negotiation, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while aligning with product development, quality and operations.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of relevant experience in medical devices or regulated environments.
• Category Management experience with Negotiation and Supplier Management.
• Strategic thinker who can operate at a high level while understanding details.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with world-class strategic sourcing and category management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute category strategy across packaging aligned with priorities.
• Drive end-to-end sourcing strategy, supplier segmentation, cost optimization and continuity planning.
• Negotiate and structure complex long-term contracts with key suppliers.
• Leverage market intelligence to inform sourcing decisions and supplier capabilities.
• Partner with engineering, quality, and operations to align sourcing with product development.
• Identify value creation opportunities including cost savings and supplier consolidation.
• Ensure sourcing activities and supplier engagements comply with policies and governance.
• Any other duties as assigned.
