Job summary

Actavo in Dublin is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to join our IT Department, reporting to the Business Solutions Manager. This senior, hands‑on role requires senior GIS and AutoDesk Construction Cloud capabilities, overseeing administration and escalated support for Actavo's Construction Cloud instance.

You will develop and maintain GIS databases, publish interactive maps and dashboards, document processes, and collaborate with IT service desk to ensure security and alignment with business

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a GIS analyst or AutoDesk administrator.
• Demonstrable experience in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, FME and related technologies.
• Experience with GIS field activities.
• Experience/understanding of the Construction industry.
• Experience supporting ISO19650/BIM initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Administration of ArcGIS and AutoDesk Construction Cloud.
• Develop and maintain GIS databases with data management and quality control.
• Develop GIS-based solutions to support decision-making and project planning.
• Create and publish interactive web-based maps and GIS applications.
• Design and configure Actavo’s AutoDesk environment to meet evolving business needs.
• Automate tasks using automation tools and scripts.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for stakeholders with data insights.
• Document key processes including maintenance and reactive tasks.
• Undertake proactive maintenance to align solutions with business objectives.
• Support weekly and monthly reports ensuring timely generation.

Job description

Actavo is currently hiring a Senior GIS Analyst to join our IT Department in Dublin, reporting to the Business Solutions Manager. This role is a senior hands‑on role that requires senior GIS and AutoDesk Construction Cloud capabilities. The Senior GIS Analyst’s duties include the administration, and escalated support for Actavo’s AutoDesk Construction Cloud instance, as well as GIS analyst duties. The Senior GIS Analyst will partner with the IT service desk and develop, maintain and share system documentation including SOPs, knowledgebase, architecture documentation, etc. This technical role requires proficiency in problem solving, attention to detail, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Administration of ArcGIS and AutoDesk Construction Cloud
• Develop and maintain GIS databases, including data management and quality control
• Develop and implement GIS-based solutions to support decision-making and project planning
• Create and publish interactive web-based maps and GIS applications
• Design and configuration of Actavo’s AutoDesk environment in line with evolving business needs
• Develop solutions to automate tasks using automation tools
• Excellent skills in manipulating Data to produce dashboards and reports for stakeholders
• Completion of proactive tasks to validate security controls
• Documentation of key processes, including both proactive maintenance and reactive tasks
• Undertake proactive maintenance tasks to ensure the solutions alignment with business objectives.
• Support weekly and monthly reports and ensure they are generated in time

Requirements:

• 5+ years as a GIS analyst or AutoDesk administrator
• Demonstratable experience in the administration of relevant systems such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, FME, and supporting technologies
• Experience and/or deep understanding of GIS field activities
• Experience and/or deep understanding of Construction industry
• Past experience supporting and contributing to ISO19650/ BIM initiatives
