Job summary

Ayesa Engineering in Galway, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical design, client interfaces and project delivery. The role combines technical direction with budget oversight and junior team management in a hybrid work setting.

Ideal candidates hold Chartered status with 5+ years in geotechnical design, plus a Civil Engineering degree and a Geotechnical master's. You will apply robust reporting, risk management and client relations to drive successful project

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Geotechnical design.
• Chartered status achieved.
• Degree in Civil Engineering and a Geotechnical-related master's degree.

Responsibilities

• The candidate will have responsibility for client interface, technical direction, budgetary control and day to day management of junior engineers
• Management of relationships with key clients and contacts across the business including client liaison and development
• Management of projects within time, cost and quality constraints and standards
• Management of the day-to-day work
• Monitors and manages compliance and KPI’s
• Preparation of tender submissions
• Estimating, pricing and delivering against work targets
• Management of projects in compliance with Ayesa Engineering's Integrated Management System (IMS)
• Ensure project staff are aware of, and fully compliant with, the requirements of the IMS

What you will be doing:

Experience Criteria

• 5+ years’ experience in Geotechnical design
• Has achieved Chartered status
• Ideally, have a degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in a Geotechnical related field

Skills & Knowledge

• Deep understanding of the principles of Geotechnical Engineering and earthworks

• Experienced & confident with report writing and presentation skills
