Job summary

JPMorganChase within the Employee Platforms group seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive end-to-end delivery of full-stack solutions using React, Java Spring Boot, GraphQL/REST, and AWS services. The role combines hands-on coding with technical leadership, architecture governance, and a strong focus on security, observability, and scalable design.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack development with leadership experience.
• Proven React expertise (TypeScript, state management).
• Strong Java Spring Boot API development and server-side design.
• GraphQL and REST API design, performance and governance.
• OIDC/OAuth2 security, token-based auth and secure sessions.
• Hands-on AWS including IAM, networking, logs and metrics.
• CI/CD, automated testing and AI-assisted development tooling.

Responsibilities

• Leads end-to-end delivery of full-stack solutions from design through production support.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coding standards across the org.
• Drive architecture reviews, API contracts, data models and integration patterns.
• Develop secure, production-grade code and enforce engineering standards.
• Establish observability with logging, metrics, tracing and runbooks.
• Evaluate vendor/internal solutions for architecture, security, and operability.
• Partner with Product/UX to translate requirements into technical plans and milestones.
• Lead adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and speed.
