Apata is a fintech company building flexible fraud-prevention solutions for card issuers. Our frontend is the surface that shapes how millions of transactions behave for issuers and merchants.

You will work across two frontend products: a merchant-facing SPA built with React on Vite and a Next.js application using TypeScript, tRPC, and TanStack Query. This role blends breadth across client-rendered and server-rendered work.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of frontend experience in production software.
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript, core to both products.
• Experience with both SPA and server-rendered Next.js apps.
• Strong testing and CI practices (unit, component, end-to-end).
• Understanding of design, development, and deployment lifecycles.
• Record of owning features end-to-end and mentoring peers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of non-trivial frontend features from concept to production.
• Set the technical bar via code review and pragmatic architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with backend and platform engineers on API contracts at BFF boundaries.
• Turn wireframes into high-quality, reusable components with design teams.
• Own performance, quality, and responsiveness across both products.
• Contribute to technical design docs and frontend-team processes.
