Responsibilities
- As a Front-End Developer, collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Technical Architects, UX/UI Designers and other team members to understand business requirements and drive the solution design and development of our digital products. Ensure that the code aligns with requirements and adheres to architectural and front-end coding standards. Focus on performance optimisation and apply best practices to enhance applications. Proactively suggest upgrades and updates to maintain modern security standards and evolving best practices in development. Contribute to our shared component libraries by crafting modular and reusable components. Provide mentorship to junior team members and share expertise across the wider team.
- Experience working closely with key stakeholders across the engineering team, including Architects, Product Owners and UX designers, understanding and translating written requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop interfaces for web and mobile applications and produce high-quality, efficient, reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Collaborate with teammates to articulate end-to-end architecture and (non-)functional design.
- Take ownership of the Frontend digital and software platform and ensure adherence to Version 1’s Agile process and framework.
- Instill best practices within the team, including TDD, code reviews and pair programming.
- Design flexible and configurable software components; produce well-designed, testable, maintainable, secure and efficient code.
Qualifications
- Extensive background in front-end development with significant experience working with Angular.
- Experience with TypeScript and React is beneficial.
- Experience with mobile development frameworks like React Native is beneficial.
- Continuous Integration experience (Docker).
- A passion for coding and keeping up to date with new technologies, frameworks and techniques.
- Extensive experience in an Agile environment.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact with clients and onsite/near-shore development teams.
- Ability to prioritise and handle several tasks with multiple deadlines.
- Experience in back-end integration and backend technologies like Java, Python or NodeJS is an advantage.
