Job summary

Pontoon Solutions in Ireland is seeking a senior Financial Reporting professional to join a hybrid team in Limerick. The role focuses on interpreting changes to accounting standards and overseeing financial statements within the banking sector.

You will work closely with external audit firms, train staff, and engage with compliance and clients to deliver accurate, timely reporting and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and team-building abilities in financial reporting.
• Strong communication and client-servicing skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with Irish GAAP and IFRS; knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and deliver financial statements in line with current accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Identify training needs and develop best practices for Ireland FR and outsourced locations.
• Assist with client servicing, new business opportunities and due diligence presentations.
• Establish best practice to improve client satisfaction and departmental performance year on year.
• Liaise with Audit Firms and provide technical briefs and updates on industry developments.
• Represent Financial Reporting at external forums and engage with Compliance and other stakeholders.
• Guide staff in resolving non-routine and complex financial reporting issues.
