Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Senior Financial Consultant, Industry Relations, to support pre-deal analytics, rebate modeling, and strategic pricing decisions. Hybrid work model available with potential to split time between Dublin or Letterkenny offices and a home-based office in Ireland.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven solid experience within Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) environments.
• Proven experience working with pharmaceutical and PBM rebate contracts.
• Demonstrated solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database querying tools.
• Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated solid organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skills.

As a Senior Financial Consultant, Industry Relations, you'll play a key role on the pre-deal analytics team, supporting rebate modeling and strategic pricing decisions that drive growth and margin performance. In this role, you'll partner closely with teams across Underwriting, Sales, Rebate Contracting and Client Account Management to evaluate client formularies, forecast rebate opportunities and develop competitive solutions for proposals and complex client opportunities.

You'll act as a subject matter expert in rebate modeling, helping translate complex financial and formulary data into clear business insights. What you’ll do:

• Assess and forecast Pharmaceutical Drug Rebates for proposed client formulary ranging from $50 million to $3 billion in rebates
• Perform critical role in the analysis of client formularies to determine client eligibility of rebates with respect to manufacturer contracts
• Incorporate strategies across Underwriting, Sales, Client Account Management, and various cross-functional teams to achieve new client growth and margin retention
• Identify and provide formulary recommendations to ensure rebates are market competitive to achieve new client growth and margin retention
• Problem solve creatively utilizing rebate knowledge to formulate rebate strategies that will offer market leading rates
• Ability to work on large and complex RFPs and identify new strategies to maximize rebates to support market competition
• Identify alternative pricing options and plan design changes based on economic analyses and trends
• Gather, summarize and analyze detailed data. Solid aptitude for technical skills is required
• Create best practices to maximize efficiency and process workflow for projects with compressed timelines
