Job summary

Waters is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to support the integration of newly acquired businesses across EMEA, combining technical accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.

You will work across countries to strengthen internal controls, enhance reporting efficiency, and ensure SAP S/4HANA adoption, with a focus on grants, tax credits in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; professional accounting qualification preferred.
• 8+ years in multinational financial accounting or reporting.
• Knowledge of month-end close, statutory reporting, audit and controls.
• Experience integrating acquisitions and SAP environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across entities and countries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close activities and financial reporting for entities across the EMEA region.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and support issue resolution.
• Contribute to Group consolidation, statutory reporting, audits, and tax compliance.
• Drive process improvements for reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Support integration of acquired entities into SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Collaborate with finance, tax, operations, manufacturing, and R&D teams.
• Support management of R&D grants, incentives, and tax credits in Ireland.
• Assist tariff mitigation initiatives and computed value calculations.

As a Senior Financial Accountant you will support the integration of newly acquired businesses across EMEA. This position combines technical accounting expertise, financial reporting, compliance, and finance transformation activities to ensure acquired entities are successfully embedded into Group Finance processes and controls.

You will play an important role in managing the increasing complexity of financial reporting resulting from acquisitions, legal entity growth, SAP integration initiatives, and tariff mitigation programs. Working across multiple countries and business areas, you will help strengthen internal capabilities, improve reporting efficiency, and support long-term operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close activities and financial reporting for entities across the EMEA region.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate accounting issues, and support timely resolution.
• Contribute to Group consolidation, statutory reporting, audit activities, and tax compliance obligations.
• Drive process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
• Support the integration of acquired entities into finance processes, controls, policies, and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Partner with finance, tax, operations, manufacturing, and R&D teams to ensure effective financial governance and compliance.
• Support the management and protection of R&D grants, incentives, and tax credit programs in Ireland.
• Contribute to tariff mitigation initiatives, including Computed Value calculations and customs compliance requirements.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, financial reporting, or technical accounting within a multinational environment, typically gained over 8+ years.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, statutory reporting, audit processes, financial controls, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, entity integrations, ERP implementations, manufacturing operations, or SAP environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across different entities, countries, and project activities while delivering high-quality results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to work independently on complex accounting, tax, grant, and reporting matters.

Salary range for the role

85.000 to 90.000 per annum.
