Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, plus at least 2 years of software testing experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience using C# for automation testing.
• Familiarity with Playwright and Robot Framework.
• Experience with ADO, Cognition Cockpit and JAMA for defect/tracking.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and FDA/ISO62304 regulatory context.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements, estimate, plan, design and deliver the product under test.
• Understand design and implementation level details of the product under test.
• Create, execute and review test cases and other test documents as per Design and Change controls.
• Conduct complex black box, system-level, functional testing to verify end-to-end customer flows.
• Capture bugs and defects and track to closure.
• Perform sprint and V&V test execution tasks.
• Support software and systems engineering teams with troubleshooting and validation activities.
• Engage in continuous improvement of test processes.

Job Description As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing our vision of streamlining and innovating diagnostic technologies with a strong focus on customer experience and product quality. You will join a dynamic Agile team focused on developing an informatics software platform that connects clinical laboratory instruments, data, and workflows to help labs streamline testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams (local and remote) to understand requirements, estimate, plan, design and deliver the product under test.
• Understand design and implementation level details of the product under test.
• Create, execute and review test cases and other test documents as per Design and Change controls.
• Conduct complex black box, system-level, functional testing, applying comprehensive knowledge of software quality concepts within the software development lifecycle, verify end-to-end customer flows.
• Capture Issue/Bugs in line with Business Unit policy/Standard and track to closure.
• Perform sprint and V&V test execution tasks.
• Support software and systems engineering teams with troubleshooting, characterization and validation activities for prototypes, sub-systems, and finished products.
• Engage in continuous improvement, innovation and optimization of test processes.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of software quality concepts within the software development lifecycle.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, plus a minimum of 2 years of software testing experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience using C# for automation testing.
• Familiarity with automated test frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Robot Framework).
• Experience with Defect Tracking Tools, Requirement Management and Test Management Tools such as ADO, Cognition Cockpit, and JAMA software.
• Generate and analyze test related metrics using the data from the defect management systems.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies in software development.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn, introduce and improve new and existing test practices and processes.
• Experience with complete software product development life cycle from concept to final release is expected.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations for medical instruments, ISO 13485, IEC 62304 standards and Quality Management systems.
• Effective written and verbal communications skills, ability to clearly and precisely communicate with management and remote team members.
• Experience working in the regulated medical industry.
• ISTQB or equivalent certificate in Software Testing or Software Automation Testing.
• Fluency in a programming language - preferably C#.
• Experience testing web applications or product testing with knowledge on API and DB testing, API validations and be able to create SQL scripts.

Salary range for the role: €48.000 to €50.000 per annum
