Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Senior Finance Partner in Athlone, Ireland to oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting with strict timelines and controls. The role leads month-end close, journal postings, tax, and regulatory filings while coordinating audits and financial governance.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years post-qualification experience, IFRS/Irish GAAP expertise, and strong collaboration with global finance teams. Manufacturing/ pharma familiarity is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with at least eight years post-qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, CPA preferred).
• Experience in preparing IFRS/Irish GAAP financial statements.
• Experience with external/internal audit management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage month-end close processes and procedures.
• Prepare monthly journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate and prepare CT1 tax returns and support compliance.
• Coordinate annual iXBRL filing with providers and authorities.
• Maintain and improve financial reporting processes, controls, and governance.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Lead and coordinate audits as primary auditors liaison.
• Manage relationships with tax, audit and accounting advisors.
• Partner with Treasury to forecast funding needs and cash flow.
• Coordinate regulatory filings with Revenue, CRO, IDA and other authorities.
• Support strategic projects and process improvements.
• Collaborate with local and global teams to achieve objectives.
