Job summary

Castlebar Fabrication in Mayo is seeking a Senior Fabricator / Sheet Metal Worker to join a precision fabrication workshop. You will deliver high-quality sheet metal fabrication, reading drawings and adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role focuses on welding, cutting, forming and assembling components, with responsibility for meeting production schedules and maintaining equipment. A senior candidate with team and independent work capability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in fabrication and/or sheet metal work.
• Strong hands-on skills in welding, cutting, forming and assembling metal components.
• Proven ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience using fabrication machinery and associated hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to organise work effectively and meet production deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

Location: Co. Mayo

Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am–4:30pm; Friday, 9:00am–3:30pm
Rate: Negotiable, depending on experience

Our client, a well-established precision fabrication company based in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Fabricator / Sheet Metal Worker to join their team.

Working from their Castlebar workshop, the successful candidate will undertake high-quality fabrication work supporting customers within the pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors. This is a senior position requiring strong hands‑on fabrication experience, excellent technical ability and a consistently high standard of workmanship.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Fabricate, cut, weld, bend and assemble sheet metal components to high precision standards.

• Forklift licence or previous material‑handling experience.
