Monaghan County Council is seeking a Senior Executive Engineer to lead a team and provide technical and managerial support across local authority services. The role involves reporting to a line manager, liaising with elected members, and deputising for the Senior Engineer when required.

You will manage staff and work programmes across directorates, collaborate with Councillors to implement local policy decisions, and contribute to delivering the full range of services in the county.

Qualifications

• The Senior Executive Engineer will be required to lead a team and provide technical and managerial support across local authority services.
• Oversee design and delivery of infrastructural projects with procurement and contract management responsibilities.
• Liaise with elected members and external agencies, attending Council and Municipal District meetings as required.

Responsabilités

• Supervise, control and manage engineering and ancillary services, including work programming.
• Oversee project delivery and financial management using best practice processes.
• Represent the Council at meetings with elected members, community groups, businesses and residents.
