Job summary
Hitachi Energy UK Limited is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to support tendering and execution of large substation projects >$100m across Europe. The role requires technical leadership, cross-country coordination and a clear focus on delivering robust, safe engineering solutions.
Base locations: UK or Ireland with up to 20% travel Europe-wide. You will define technical scope, lead design teams and ensure documents meet quality and compliance standards while supporting
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years in power systems with HV/MV substations, offshore experience ideal.
- Experience acting as Technical Lead on large tenders or projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and BIM methodologies.
- Effective collaborator in multicultural, cross-functional environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical support for tendering and execution phases of projects.
- Develop HV/MV/LV power supply system architectures and sizing calculations.
- Serve as technical lead for multi-country engineering design teams.
- Coordinate with sales, tender management, project management, site teams.
- Ensure quality, clarity, accuracy and compliance of all deliverables.
