Job summary

You will oversee planning, governance, budgets, and talent development while aligning roadmaps with McKesson’s IT vision and regulatory standards. You’ll partner with executives and business leaders to deliver innovative engineering solutions, manage vendor relationships, and ensure reliable end‑to‑end delivery in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 9+ years in engineering, architecture, or technical leadership with supervisory responsibility.
• Experience leading multi‑team engineering programs and delivering enterprise initiatives.
• Exposure to regulated environments and executive‑level technology decisions.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage budgets, and drive outcomes.
• Strong communication, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee planning and delivery of complex cross‑functional engineering projects; ensure quality and risk management.
• Establish governance, enforce compliance, and drive audits and continuous improvement.
• Direct managers in translating strategy into operational plans and measurable goals.
• Drive innovation by adopting emerging technologies and improving workflows.
• Provide SME leadership on critical issues with root‑cause analysis and remediation.
• Evaluate engineering investments, optimize tech spend, and strengthen vendor partnerships.
• Manage department budgets, forecasts, and major contracts or procurements.
• Lead workforce planning, design, and talent development across teams.
• Represent engineering in executive forums and foster a culture of learning.
