Location: Dublin, Galway, Cork, or Castlebar, Ireland, Republic of Ireland Company Details: A well-established consulting firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer with at least seven years experience in flood risk management, hydrology, or a related field. The ideal candidate will be chartered, with strong technical expertise, project management abilities, and leadership skills to mentor junior staff. This role requires a proactive professional capable of driving project success, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to the expansion of the water resources team. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee complex flooding and hydrology projects, including hydraulic modelling and flood risk assessments. Develop and review technical reports, design documentation, and project proposals. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project approvals and ensure compliance. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. Requirements: Degree qualification in Engineering or a related field. At least seven years postgraduate experience in flood risk management or hydrology. Strong knowledge of flood risk management principles and hydraulic modelling. Proficient in project management tools, such as MS Project or Primavera P6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modelling software. Experience with Cost-Benefit Analysis, Nature-Based Solutions, and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes.
