Senior Engineer

Longford

The Senior Engineer will lead engineering coordination and technical assurance on high-specification pharma, life sciences, or advanced industrial projects. This is a strategic role focused on design validation, GMP compliance, and multidiscipline integration (MEP, structural, architectural) during pre-construction and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical authority for engineering design on large-scale pharma or industrial builds
  • Review and manage engineering documentation across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and design teams to ensure compliance with GMP and FDA/EMEA regulations
  • Manage change control, deviation logs, and ensure traceable design decisions
  • Lead design coordination meetings and ensure alignment across disciplines
  • Support commissioning and validation teams with technical input and documentation
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge transfer across projects

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering
  • 8+ years’ experience in complex, regulated environments (pharma, biotech, data centres)
  • Familiarity with GMP, cleanroom requirements, validation protocols
  • Skilled in reading and coordinating multidisciplinary design drawings
  • Proficient in software such as Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and document control platforms
