Job summary

A leading database technology firm in Dublin is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Architect to align technical growth with training needs. You will guide customers on using our data platform, develop training content, and oversee enablement efforts. The role requires 8-11 years of relevant experience, strong skills in scripting languages, and a Bachelor’s degree. The position offers a hybrid working model and requires travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly motivated technologist to join our Pre‑Sales Enablement organization, ensuring our growth is technically aligned with our platform and Solution Architect training needs. As a Pre‑Sales Solution Architect, you will guide customers in designing and building reliable, scalable systems using our data platform. Our team comprises seasoned technical sales professionals, software architects, entrepreneurs, and developers who take direct responsibility for customer success, including software design, deployment, and operations. This role is based in Dublin and follows a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs of the Solutions Architects team through interviews, surveys, and collaboration.
• Create customized learning paths based on product, market, or business line focus.
• Develop training content for the MongoDB Enablement team's platforms.
• Manage projects across functional teams, including Learning & Development or Sales Enablement.
• Oversee the delivery of training, coaching, and development programs, and facilitate sessions.
• Secure leadership support for Go‑To‑Market initiatives and enablement efforts.
• Provide feedback from the field to Go‑To‑Market strategies, processes, and practices.
• Maintain regular communication to share and validate enablement plans with senior sales leaders.

Requirements

• 8-11 years of related experience in a customer‑facing role, with 5-7 years in pre‑sales with enterprise software.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#).
• Minimum 4 years of engagement within the learning industry.
• Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on‑prem.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to travel up to 30% (including 1 week per month to Dublin).

Nice to Have

• Experience in selling databases or deploying applications across major cloud platforms.
• Expertise in database programming and understanding data models.
• MongoDB Certification.
