Job summary

Personio is hiring for a senior Employee Relations leader to build and scale a new ER discipline. You’ll own investigation and case leadership, partner with People teams to support managers, and drive fair, compliant outcomes across Europe, including Germany and the UK&I.

This is a strategic role to design ER systems, embed AI/automation, and enable proactive, scalable management. Office-based with flexible in-office days in Berlin, Munich, London or Dublin, and remote options for remaining days.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a People/HR function, preferably in a fast-paced org
• Experience across multiple European jurisdictions including Germany and UK&I
• Neutral investigator with focus on compliant and human-centric approach

Responsibilities

• Investigation & Case Leadership for employee relations cases
• Serve as primary ER case management contact with People Partners
• Lead high-risk cases and drive cross-functional alignment across Legal, People Leadership, and executives
• Audit and rebuild ER workflows to be simple, consistent, legal, and scalable
• Design and implement ER systems with AI/automation focus
• Enable managers with practical training and resources for early issue resolution
• Create scalable self-service tools and shift ER to proactive management
