Job summary

Senior Electronics Engineer role in Limerick with a globally recognised analytical instrumentation company. This permanent position requires onsite work a minimum of four days per week and offers a collaborative hardware engineering environment working on instrumentation platforms used by scientists and clinicians globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 8+ years in electronic product development with analogue, digital and mixed-signal design.
• Hands-on PCB design, debugging and power-supply design.
• Experience with lab test equipment and fault-finding methods.
• Familiarity with FPGA/CPLD and ECAD tools such as Altium, OrCAD, PADS or KiCad.
• Experience in Life Sciences/Medical devices or regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic hardware systems, subsystems and PCBAs for new and existing instrumentation platforms.
• Lead board bring-up, hardware validation and verification activities.
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause investigations in a laboratory environment.
• Perform schematic and PCB design reviews and contribute to electronic architectures and technical requirements.
• Support component lifecycle and obsolescence work, including evaluating and qualifying alternate components.
• Collaborate with Firmware, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality and international engineering teams, as well as external partners and suppliers.
• Mentor other engineers informally and contribute to technical excellence across the team.
