Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial lifecycle of projects from tender to final account. You will protect margin, manage change, and maintain cost control within a project team to avoid commercial surprises.

Embedded in the project team, you’ll drive decisions, manage costs, and ensure accurate commercial reporting. The role emphasizes proactive risk management, liaison with clients, and adherence to ISMS security standards.

Qualifications

• Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor with project lifecycle involvement.
• Must be able to own commercial aspects and communicate numbers clearly.
• Experience with tender to final account processes and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage budgets, reports, BOQs and profit plans with high accuracy.
• Lead interim commercial meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts with correct payments and retentions.
• Issue interim and final accounts with accurate re-measures, site changes and claims.
• Flag commercial risks early and escalate to Senior Management.
• Coordinate with Planning Engineer to align schedule with commercial implications.
• Record keeping of commercial data for audit readiness.
• Negotiate with clients or representatives when required.
• Uphold information security practices per ISMS.
