Senior Electrical Quality Lead – Building Services

Job summary

Designer Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Quality Manager to lead quality performance across our Building Services Business Unit. You will drive standards, reduce defects and ensure installations align with client, technical, and Designer Group requirements.

You will work with Business Unit leadership, Project Managers, Construction and QA/QC teams across multiple projects, coaching Electrical QA Leads and overseeing ITPs, NCRs and handover readiness.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Electrical QA/QC and quality management.
• Electrical Engineering or Building Services qualification preferred.
• Experience with building services, M&E, or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of NCR, defect and corrective-action processes.
• Experience developing and managing Quality Plans and ITPs.
• Experience with electrical completion, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Proven ability to lead or support Electrical QA/QC teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel across Designer Group projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Building Services electrical quality strategy.
• Provide direction to project-based Electrical QA/QC teams.
• Ensure consistent electrical quality standards across projects.
• Monitor performance via audits, KPIs and reviews.
• Support construction planning, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Oversee Quality Plans, ITPs and QA documentation.
• Monitor NCRs, defects and corrective actions, ensuring timely close-out.
• Drive right-first-time delivery and continuous improvement.
• Escalate significant quality risks to Business Unit leadership.
• Coach and develop Electrical QA Leads, Engineers and Inspectors.
• Support supplier and subcontractor quality performance.
