Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering in Ireland is hiring an Electrical QC Inspector to ensure electrical systems meet safety, quality, and project standards. The role involves inspections, testing, documentation, and collaboration with site engineers on challenging data centre, pharma or power projects.

You should have a strong trade/construction background or a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, plus at least 3 years in a lead role.

Qualifications

Strong trade/construction background or a third level qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to adapt.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Proficient in MS Office; BIM 360 Field Management or similar platforms is a plus.
Data Centre, Pharma or similar experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Inspect electrical installations and systems to ensure safety and compliance with project specs.
Monitor and verify electrical works for quality control against drawings and standards.
Perform testing (continuity, insulation resistance, voltage) and document results.
Maintain inspection records, NCRs, and testing logs; report issues to supervisors.
Collaborate with site engineers to resolve quality-related issues and ensure proper execution.
Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety regulations and codes.
Inspect incoming electrical materials for compliance before use.
