Job summary

Egis in Ireland is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design and develop electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities. You will author specifications, review MCCs and PLC/SCADA architectures, and support commissioning alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team.

You will mentor junior staff, ensure quality standards, and contribute to business development in the electrical sector. A Chartered Engineer within reach is highly valued.

Qualifications

Honours degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Chartered Engineer status or on track to achieve within 6–12 months.
Member of Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional body.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems for water and wastewater plants and infrastructure.
Prepare technical specifications, control philosophies, schedules and diagrams.
Review MCC schematics, contractor calculations and PLC/SCADA architectures.
Support FAT, SAT, QA/QC, commissioning and mentor junior team members.
Contribute to electrical design proposals and business development.
