Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in Cork is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 6–8 years' experience to join a well-established multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy. You will lead electrical building services design across sectors, delivering drawings, load calculations and tender packages while mentoring the team.

Qualifications

Level 8 or Level 9 degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
6–8 years’ post-graduate experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment.
Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership highly desirable.
Proficiency in Building Services Design Software such as Amtech, Dialux, Relux or Lighting Reality.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to construction and handover.
Design and specify electrical services systems including power distribution, lighting, life safety systems, ICT/ELV and energy efficient technologies.
Carry out electrical load calculations, system modelling and equipment selection.
Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications and tender packages.
