Job summary

Malone O'Regan Environmental is seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join our Dublin/Cork/Tullamore/Shannon team. The role blends field and desk work on varied ecological projects and requires collaboration with other environmental disciplines.

A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience is expected, with hybrid working and occasional travel. The candidate will contribute to diverse projects, including AA, EcIA, and EIAR biodiversity chapters, while mentoring junior staff and supporting

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years postgraduate experience in ecology or related field.
• Experience in preparing technical reports such as Appropriate Assessments and EcIA.
• Experience in ecological surveying and habitat evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and oversee ecological surveys (habitat and protected/notable species).
• Analyze field data and present results using QGIS.
• Prepare and peer-review reports and ecological chapters for EIARs.
• Engage with clients and subcontractors and attend project meetings.
