Job summary

Northside Family Resource Centre in Ireland is seeking an experienced, child-centred Early Years Team Leader to join our growing team. You will oversee curriculum planning, staff coordination, and quality practice for children aged 0–6, working closely with the Early Years Manager to create a nurturing, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in an Early Years setting.
• Experience with children aged 0–6.
• Ability to meet childcare regulations independently and proactively.
• QQI Level 6 in Early Years Care and Education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage with young children in nurturing interactions.
• Ability to communicate with parents about children’s needs.
• Flexibility regarding working hours.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day responsibility for care, learning, and development for children 0–6.
• Design and oversee curricula supporting emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.
• Coordinate planning and programmes for individual and group needs.
• Support staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
• Lead implementation of policies and best practices.
• Deliver recognised programmes (e.g., Incredible Years) when trained.
• Review and continually enhance programmes and activities.
• Coordinate staff rotas and daily operations.
• Provide staff guidance and support.
• Maintain health, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Engage with parents to support parenting roles.
• Ensure policy compliance and reporting.
