Workday, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (Distributed Systems) to design, implement and operate large-scale messaging, streaming and caching services.

You will work across private and public clouds to support Workday products and real-time data platforms. The role requires deep experience with Kafka/Redis/RabbitMQ, strong software engineering skills in Java/Scala or Golang, and hands-on DevOps with Kubernetes-based deployments.

Formación

• 6+ years of experience as a Kafka/Redis/RabbitMQ admin with cloud platform exposure.
• 6+ years of software engineering using Java/Scala or Golang.
• 4+ years distributed systems experience across large-scale deployments.
• 3+ years DevOps experience designing and operating NoSQL/messaging deployments.
• 1+ year leading a NoSQL technology product from conception to deployment.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and enhance critical distributed services including Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ.
• Design, develop, deploy and maintain core distributed services across Kubernetes/OpenStack/Bare Metal.
• Construct observability modules and dashboards for lifecycle management of the distributed services.
• Build, deploy and operate infrastructure components in production environments.
• Champions resiliency and operational excellence in streaming, messaging and caching.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support the distributed systems platforms.
• Manage and optimize Workday distributed services in AWS, GCP & private cloud.
