Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Senior Director for its Business and Technology Insights group in Dublin to lead the creation of must-have insights content and shape the research agenda. You will engage clients through in-person and virtual meetings, conferences, and sales visits to discuss challenges and provide recommendations.

The role requires 10+ years in analytics/security and deep expertise in application security, AI risk, and AI-enabled development, with strong executive presence and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant field or industry experience.
• Deep expertise with application security technologies including SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA; familiarity with Checkmarx, Snyk, GitLab, GitHub.
• Hands-on experience securing AI-driven development of applications and AI-generated code vulnerability discovery.
• Emerging best practices for securing AI-enabled apps, managing risks of AI agents, MCPs, and APIs.
• Understanding threat modeling, penetration testing, and vulnerability management, including AI impact.
• Executive presence to engage executives and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; engaging clients.
• Able to analyze data and apply patterns to client challenges.
• Clear, concise explanations of complex concepts.
• Subject-matter expertise; comfortable presenting at engagements.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Knowledge of global competitive landscape in the field.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Learning agility in matrixed environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, must-have insights content.
• Develop new insights and actionable approaches for clients.
• Analyze root causes of client needs and reframing strategy.
• Establish Insights positions across the analyst team.
• Provide provocative insights to Gartner leaders to evolve research.
• Predict market trends to guide client and vendor decisions.
• Offer actionable advice via meetings and briefings.
• Create high-value presentation materials for Gartner events.
• Provide sales support and act as voice of the market.
• Peer-review high-quality content.
• Build credibility to represent Gartner insights and methodology.
• Participate in innovation and collaborate across teams.
• Identify process improvements for BTI delivery.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Be client-centric and foster frequent Gartner interactions.
