Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Dietitian to join the HSE Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) across Carlow, Kilkenny, and South Tipperary. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the nutritional care of children with disabilities, working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert dietary assessments and interventions for children with a range of medical and nutritional needs.
  • Develop personalized nutrition plans, supporting children’s growth, development, and overall health.
  • Work closely with families, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team to implement dietary strategies.
  • Provide training and education on nutrition to staff, families, and caregivers.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of nutritional care services within the CDNT.

Requirements:

  • Recognized qualification in Dietetics and CORU registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-graduation experience in dietetics, preferably in paediatrics or a disability setting.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and a passion for delivering evidence-based care.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.

Desirable:

  • Experience in pediatric nutrition and working with children with disabilities.
