Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years' professional software development experience with C# .NET.
• Minimum of 1 year's experience in test automation.
• Strong experience with .NET Framework 4.8 or later.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and Git-based version control.
• Experience with HL7 software development and medical interfaces.
• Experience with AWS services and DevOps practices would be beneficial.

Job Opportunity: Senior Development Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Development Engineer to support the development and maintenance of medical interface software. The role will focus on C# .NET development, test automation and software integration, ensuring reliable, secure and high-quality software solutions.

This is a hybrid position based in Ireland.

Job Responsibilities

• Create and execute manual test cases to support software releases.
• Develop automated functional tests and Connexion devices using C# .NET.
• Support medical interface software and troubleshoot complex production and non-production issues.
• Contribute to software design and architecture, focusing on performance, security and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain development standards and produce technical documentation.
• Collaborate with development, QA, product and operations teams in an Agile environment.
• Optimise application performance and system integrations.
• Participate in the production on-call rotation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years' professional software development experience with C# .NET.
• Minimum of 1 year's experience in test automation.
• Strong experience with .NET Framework 4.8 or later.
• Good understanding of programming principles, design patterns, secure coding practices and Git-based version control.
• Experience with HL7 software development, ideally with at least 2 years' experience, and knowledge of medical software interfaces.
• Experience with AWS services, modernising legacy .NET applications or DevOps practices would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with unit testing, automated testing, debugging tools and application monitoring.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
