Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for a multinational Medical Device client in Limerick. The role focuses on the 3D design of manufacturing equipment and prototype testing to advance automated technology development.

The candidate will use FEA to verify designs and contribute to the development of cost‑effective automation solutions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and vendors to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Design and prototype testing of automated equipment for next-generation medtech manufacturing.
• Understanding and application of FEA techniques to verify designs.
• Develop engineering policies and ensure sound technical concepts are applied.
• Maintain communication across technology teams and stakeholders to align with project goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost-effective design solutions for automated equipment.
• Generate 2D and 3D CAD concepts to drive proposals and recommendations.
• Lead POP activities to de-risk proposed solutions and iterate designs.
• Manage relationships with vendors and partners to optimize development of automated systems.
• Report progress and deliverables per project milestones.
• Support and lead in risk analysis and issue management as part of project execution.
