Job summary

U.S. Bank in Dublin is seeking a Senior Depositary Analyst to oversee cash flow monitoring, NAV oversight, and portfolio compliance across UCITS, ETFs, and private equity structures.

The role sits at City Quay, with close collaboration across fund administrators, custodians, and managers within a robust control framework to ensure regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for client reporting, engagement, and assisting with on-site reviews.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years direct experience in Depositary Services.
• Private Equity or Debt Depositary experience is a plus.
• Third level qualification in Business/Finance/Economics or related field.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform cash flow monitoring, investment and borrowing restriction checks, safekeeping of assets and NAV oversight.
• Conduct reviews of the administrator and custodians, managers and AIFMs.
• Manage end-to-end Depositary duties from cash flow monitoring to client reporting and engagement.
• Assist with annual on-site reviews of the fund administrator, transfer agent and managers.

Job Description

Senior Depositary Analyst

U.S. Bank introduced its full depositary services offering in Europe in 2018. The offering supports regulated investment funds domiciled in the EU that are required to appoint a depositary to comply with the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and the Undertakings for Collective Investments in Transferable Securities Directive (UCITS). US bank Europe DAC trading as U.S. Bank Depositary Services is authorised and supervised by the Central Bank of Ireland.

About you

You are a confident depositary professional with a comprehensive understanding of the Irish Financial Services market. You are comfortable working within a robust control framework to support the growth of the Depositary function. You have excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to maintain and enhance client relationships.

We work to tight deadlines so a methodical approach to planning is a must, with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Depositary Supervisor and ultimately reporting to the Senior Depositary Manager, all duties are performed in accordance with the Central Bank of Ireland Regulations and the requirements of each fund's constitutional documentation.

This entails monitoring each fund's compliance with prospectus based and regulatory investment restrictions and borrowing limits, as well as performing reviews in respect of the role of the administrator and appointed global custodians / prime brokers, managers and AIFMs.

You will be performing the full A-Z of the Depositary function from Cash Flow Monitoring reviews, NAV Oversight, Portfolio Compliance Reviews, Process Development, Client Reporting and Engagement. You will be exposed to multi product and fund structures from UCITS, ETFs, Alternatives and Private Equity. If you wish to expand your Depositary and Funds knowledge in a nimble and expanding Depositary, this could be the role for you.

Key Requirements:

• Interact with colleagues, peers and superiors in a way that ensures the 'end goal' is achieved in a productive way.
• Perform the key tasks of cash flow monitoring, investment and borrowing restriction checks, safekeeping of other assets and NAV oversight.
• Adherence to all mandatory training requirements and ensuring the area is operating to high standards.
• Act as a day-to-day contact for clients and attend board meetings as required.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
• Keen eye for process development and ability to drive enhancements.
• Demonstrate strong client facing skills.
• Assist with annual on-site reviews of the fund administrator, transfer agent and managers.

Experience

• Private Equity /Debt Depositary experience a distinct advantage
• Third level qualification in Business/Finance/Economics or related area
