Job summary

Realtime Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Senior DBA to manage Oracle 19c and PostgreSQL 17 across AWS environments, ensuring performance, security, and high availability.

You will own backups, DR, and incident response, while collaborating with DevOps on database deployments and CI/CD. This role requires strong communication skills and hands-on automation experience, with on-call duties periodically.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on DBA experience.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle 19c and PostgreSQL 17.
• AWS experience (RDS, Aurora, EC2).
• Advanced SQL tuning, indexing and query optimisation.
• Oracle RMAN, AWS Backup and high-availability experience.
• Strong production support, incident management and RCA background.
• Scripting, automation and DevOps tooling knowledge.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• AWS or Oracle certifications are beneficial
• Experience in client facing roles
