Job summary

Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer for Data Infrastructure & Acquisition in Cork, Ireland. You will join a distributed team building high‑quality datasets to power model training, combining infrastructure, engineering, and research work.

You’ll work with data scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality while shaping the AI team's dataset roadmap for future consumer and enterprise products.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of industry software development experience.
• Proficiency with Bash and Python in Linux environments.
• Experience with Docker and IaC concepts; cloud provider experience (GCP).
• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ingest new audio data sources and feed the ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for ingestion (GCP, Terraform).
• Collaborate with data scientists to improve cost, throughput and quality.
• Help define dataset roadmap for next‑gen products.
