Job summary

Meili is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own our data pipelines and warehouse models used by commercial, partnerships and product teams. You will manage ingestion from our platform and partners and shape the Snowflake model that informs business decisions.

In this hands-on role you’ll drive data quality, observability, and a scalable analytics layer, mentor teammates, and set standards for version control, CI, and documentation, while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience building production data pipelines and warehouse models with clear ownership.
• Strong SQL skills (window functions, incremental logic, tuning) and Snowflake experience.
• Python for data engineering: ingestion, transformation, testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines feeding the warehouse and ingestion from partner systems.
• Own and extend Snowflake modelled analytics layer with well-documented tables.
• Build data quality, observability: tests, freshness checks, alerts, lineage.
• Model business metrics to ensure consistency across reports.
• Collaborate with commercial, partnerships and product to translate needs into durable data models.
• Set engineering standards, code reviews, CI, environments, documentation.
• Mentor and coach team members.
