We are seeking a Data Consultant to support industrial data and digital transformation initiatives within pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. Working closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams, you will help define business requirements, document processes and data needs, and support the development of data standards that improve consistency, quality, and interoperability across manufacturing systems.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between business and technology, combining strong analytical skills with a structured approach to process improvement, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, operational challenges, and data requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to gather and document requirements.
- Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Analyze business processes, system interactions, and data flows to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business requirements into clear and actionable specifications for technical teams.
- Support the development of data standards, governance frameworks, and data quality initiatives.
- Document data definitions, business rules, metadata, and ownership structures.
- Assess interactions between manufacturing, automation, and business systems, identifying integration opportunities and gaps.
- Support digital transformation projects through requirements management, testing, validation, stakeholder engagement, and change management activities.
- Maintain high-quality project documentation, knowledge repositories, and process standards.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, quality, and regulatory requirements within a GMP-regulated environment.
- Support system testing and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or Data Consulting roles.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Proven ability to create process maps, user stories, workflows, and functional documentation.
- Experience working with data governance, data quality, or data standardization initiatives.
- Understanding of systems integration and data flows across enterprise or manufacturing environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
- Experience supporting testing, validation, and change management activities.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with GMP/GxP environments would be advantageous.
