Job summary

Ornua in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork is seeking a General Operative to ensure efficient filling of products into tubs or foil, and to set up machine parameters per instructions.

This role requires proactive problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout production. The position involves monitoring equipment, performing routine maintenance, and supporting health and safety initiatives while covering shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• IT literate with Word, Excel and databases.

Responsibilities

• Understand product range and filling process for tubs or foil.
• Set-up machine run parameters and adjust as needed.
• Follow Manufacturing Order specifications for product data.
• Ensure ink-jet printers are correctly positioned and data entered.
• Perform X-Ray tests and ensure metal detection is working.
• Change internal machine components for product changes when required.
• Monitor production, clear blockages and spills promptly.
• Prepare machines for cleaning and complete CIP documentation.
• Support Health and Safety KPIs and promote safety culture.
