Job summary

A Cyber Security & Risk Analyst is sought for a 12-month contract with an integral public service organisation in Ireland. The role covers governance, risk management, incident response, and security operations to support resilient information security across the enterprise.

You will coordinate governance activities, maintain risk registers, and assist audits and supplier risk assessments, working with executive teams and business units.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in information security, cyber security, or IT risk.
• Experience in regulated/public sector environments.
• Strong knowledge of cyber risk management and governance reporting.
• Experience with cyber incident response planning and audits.
• Practical understanding of NIS2, CyFun, ISO 27001, NIST CSF.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cyber governance activities across the organisation.
• Maintain cyber risk register with owners, ratings and action plans.
• Prepare governance packs and reporting for EMT, Board and committees.
• Support incident response planning, playbooks and after-action reviews.
• Assist vulnerability management, patching, and security monitoring.
• Coordinate cyber risk assessments for suppliers and third parties.
• Support audit activities and evidence gathering.
• Promote cyber security awareness and reporting to stakeholders.
• Report security findings to CIO, EMT and senior governance forums.
