Northern Trust in Ireland is seeking a Senior Consultant – AI and Data Specialist within the Chief Control Office to design and implement the firm’s internal control architecture, taxonomy, inventory and quality standards.
The role requires deep AI and data experience, a delivery-focused mindset and strong communication to collaborate with risk partners and senior leaders on high-profile initiatives in a fast-paced global environment.
The Senior Consultant – AI and Data Specialist, Chief Control Office role is a key role within the 1LOD that will be responsible for supporting the team that designs and implements Northern Trust’s internal control architecture, taxonomy, inventory and establishment of quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing AI solutions (e.g. defining AI use cases, context, prompting, output verification/validation) and managing large, complex data sets. These skills are critical given the team is both designing (i.e. defining controls to mitigate given risks) and implementing control initiatives (e.g. developing a control inventory mapped to risk) across Northern Trust. Experience in Operational Risk and Control is desirable but not essential. The ability to problem solve and drive efficiency through technology will be key. The candidate will also need programme/project delivery experience/exposure, supporting large, high profile pieces of work.
Verbal and written communication skills will be critical as the role will support liaising with key stakeholders and collaborating with senior business leaders on key initiatives. This is a newly created function, which will require self-starting abilities and a proven track record of delivery and execution in a fast paced global environment.
