Job summary

Clancy is hiring a Project Manager to join our Cork team. You will lead all aspects of project delivery for healthcare, commercial and residential schemes, ensuring safety, quality and on-time completion.

You will liaise with consultants, subcontractors and clients, develop execution plans, manage costs and drive a right-first-time culture across the project lifecycle. A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management plus 5+ years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare, commercial or residential construction, ideally with a main/specialist contractor.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.
• Strong knowledge of safety and quality management systems and practices.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent English.
• Team player with ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Ability to lead with confidence, mentor and motivate colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Drive an embedded HS&E culture on site and in project teams.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, QS and workforce.
• Lead all aspects of project team functions (PEP, risk & commercial success, financials, processes, HSEQS, stakeholder management, project administration, design management & close out).
• Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan, including HSE & Quality plans.
• Prepare contract reports and update monthly cost meetings with QS.
• Review buildability and identify constructive methods with programme advantage.
• Plan, organise, and direct site construction activities.
• Develop project plans and schedules to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinate activities with Quality System and Engineering Specifications.
• Manage day-to-day lifecycle from initiation to hand-over.
• Meet objectives for timely delivery, cost, quality and client satisfaction.
• Maintain right-first-time philosophy throughout lifecycle.
• Lead project delivery with technical and engineering expertise.
• Manage day-to-day site operations of subcontractors.
• Ensure subcontractor workflow aligns with the project programme.
• Attend meetings with clients, architects and consultants and report progress.
• Oversee quality, BCAR coordination, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Handle RFIs and interface with client/consultant/architect.
